Kozunak with almonds (Traditional Bulgarian sweet bread)

    Ingredients:
    200 g margarine 1 kg flour, 40 g yeast, 150 g sugar, 2 egg yolks, 2 eggs, 200 ml milk, pinch of salt, 50 g candied orange peel, 50 g raisins, juice of 1 lemon 2 vanilla. 1 egg yolk spreads, sugar for sprinkling, 10-15 almonds for sprinkling.

    Method of preparation:
    Melt the yeast in heated butter, add a tbsp of sugar, 2 tbsp of flour and leave it to rise. The left of the flour sift into a bowl, make a hollow in it and add the 2 eggs, 2 more yolks, sugar, the melted butter, a pinch of salt, the candied orange peels, the vanilla, the juice of 1 lemon and knead the dough from these products. Leave the dough to rise at warm place. Split the dough in two parts, and each of them – into 3 parts. Roll out each of them into a thin layer, add the raisins rolled in flour, roll the dough parts into ropes and braid together. Place the sweet breads in greased baking pans, leave them to rise, brush with the whipped yolks, sprinkle with sugar and stud the top with almonds and raisins. Bake at 180 degrees for about 50 minutes.
